Hello, here is my story
Metal has been a part of my life since 1989, when a good friend introduced me to Anthrax. The Not man logo. I wasn't working, I was 15, and computer internet wasn't there. To my advantage my brother also a music guy asked someone the same question. What new music should he check out. Bands like Anthrax, Megadeth, Metallica, Slayer and Exodus were given to him. He bought Anthrax " I'm the man, State of Euphoria" Metallica "..And Justice for All" "Jump in the Fire" Megadeth "Peace Sells" and Exodus "Fabulous Distaster" He was into Metallica and Anthrax but not Megadeth or Exodus. I enjoyed them all. Shortly after he bought the I started working and I bought the same records but more. Megadeth "Rust in Peace" and Anthrax "Among the Living" from there is grew to all of Metallica's, Anthrax and Megadeth records. Until 1993 those were the only 4 bands I listened too, I couldn't find much of Exodus in my small town where I lived in. So I joined the Army and went to Germany and my music collection grew to S.O.D., King Diamond and Mercyful fate. For some reason, Slayer wasn't interesting to me, I didn't have anyone to listen to them, Nor where I bought CD's didn't carry them. In 97, I bought the S.O.D "Live At Budokan" in "Speak English or Die" they played "Raining Blood" It hooked me. The Drums and the Guitars hooked me. I looked at what CD's I had, over 200, and noticed I had Slayer "Decade of Aggression" and started listening to it. Shortly after that I bought the entire Slayer collection that I could get. Years laters I add bands like Testament, Overkill, Nuclear Assault, Fear Factory, Iron Maiden, M.O.D, Ministry, Sepultura and many more. Almost all of these bands we a contribute to me want to learn and continue to play the guitar.
thats it for now

In 1989 I was introduced to the big 5 seen in the previous blog and I wanted to learn how to play the guitar. Even when I was younger I want to play an instrumental and the Piano was the only thing around but it wasn't for me. My brother got a guitar before me so I would sneak in and learn on his but I didn't know where to start. Listening to Metallica influenced me to learn "One" but when I heard "Jump in the Fire" that is what I wan't to play. I got my first issue of guitar magazine, which was the issue with the Guitarist of Ozzy. So I taught myself guitar tab, shortly after that I got the "And Justice for all" tab book and started reading them. It took me a while to learn how to read it and play but I was determined. In 91 when Metallica Black Album came out, I was already playing basic enough to where I could play the album with little practice and started playing leads. In 1992 I joined my first band, Edivon, the drummer and I had the only talent but we still sucked so band we broke up a month later. We still hung out and tried to another band, Lock 14, which was the same guys in Edivon but not the vocalist. it lasted 2 months before we had no place to practice and gave up. In 1993-96 I joined the Army with the get out of my home time and to practice, practice and more practice when I wasn't working and the drummer was to finish college and regroup with everyone. The Drummer and I hooked back up in 1996 with my brother and a close friend on guitar. With the 4 of us we could figure out a band name, from Pycoids to a bunch of crazy names for 2 months we decided Lock 14 worked the best. We played alternative, metal, punk and rock mix but only what we wrote. I could play some leads basic enough to play over what we wrote. We only played what we wrote and we made music of our music up on the spot, recording all of our jam sessions. it took a year but our style was mixing we but it didn't last due to me moving.
Over the next 15 years I played in multiple bands most not working out due to work, motivation or money for practice rooms, which is probably over 90% of all bands out there. As of now I am not in a band.
